Thank you very much for your quick reply! I'm a bit calmer now. :) Everything just got me worried as I just started working and there have been some problems with taxes and banks etc.

Just a quick question to anyone who is employed by the danish state. At which date each month are the digital payslips from SLS/Statens Lönsystem delivered to e-boks? Last month I received my payslip the 23rd December, i.e a week before my salary was transfered to my account. However this month I have yet not received a payslip and I assume that salaries are payed this friday as it is the last bank day of the month? I'm just a little bit worried since there were some issues with my tax card etc. Thank you!

Yes, I know. That's why I asked the personel office to hold my salary until my tax card was finished. And when I spoke to them last week they had received it from Skat and told me that my salary would be on my account the 30th December. That's why I'm so confused. I really needed the money now, not in June. This means that I more or less get 50% less than I should receive. :( And I guess it also means several more weeks of work with Skat in order to pay the correct taxes on next salary (when I first applied for a tax card they said it would take no more than 2 weeks, when it in reality took 8 weeks and required a lot of e-mails reminding them to fix it..).

So, finally. After 2 months I received my tax card and today I received my pay slip digitally via e-boks. According to Skat I should pay 39% taxes plus I get around 4000DKK tax free each month. However when I now opened my payslip I can see "Fradrag 0" and "Traek 60%". Under "Ydelser i alt" it says 39000, and "Fradrag i alt" is 25000. Till disposition via nemkonto is 14000. Does this mean that my salary is only 14000?? And that they actually have withdrawn 60% taxes? Of course the people responsible for salaries are gone for christmas. :( Or have I misinterpreted the payslip completely? I'm getting a bit worried.

In Sweden, the salary you receive for example the end of November is salary for work completed in October (i.e 2 months retrospective). Is the danish system the same? If I start work 01 November, will I receive my first salary the end of November or the end of December? Thank you!

Hi! I have just received an employment in Denmark (Swedish citizen) and I have a few questions regarding taxation and the personal allowance. I have sent in all the neccessary papers in order to obtain a CPR number, tax card and bank account. However it's all a big whoop of bureaucracy and time is running out. My first salary should be paid out the last of November, hopefully I will have a danish bank account by then. However it is doubtful that I will have a danish tax card. 1. Do I need to have a tax card before the salary can be payed? 2. If not. Will my employer deduct a preliminary tax of 60%? As I only will recieve salary for November and December I will likely not exceed my personal allowance (which for 2008 should be around 40k DKR right?)? And therefore should not pay any taxes on my salary this year. However, is this done automatically? Or will they deduct 60% if I do not have a tax card even when the salary has not exceeded the personal allowance? Thank you in advance!
